Did you know that all of your makeup has a shelf-life? No? Well, using makeup past its expiration can be just as bad as eating food past its expiration. EW. But, I am guilty myself in trying to use that lip liner I got freshman year of college 7 years ago. So what, right? Wrong.
I know I have been MIA for what seems like forever, right?! But, no worries! I am back! Since I did not make it to giving my year end favorite products of 2016. I am going to give you a mixture of my top 2016/2017 products that I think are a must have for your makeup bag.
Most of these products I do not think get the proper notoriety they deserve, and some of them are loved and recognized by a lot of bloggers. I hate to give you products that everyone is already talking about, but I have to be honest – no discrimination, a must have is a must have!
With summer right around the corner, it is time to get that glow before the season even gets here! Self-tanning yourself is a MUST. Personally, there is nothing like a good spray tan/self-tanner; since tanning beds are so 2009. I am almost sure all of you can agree that everyone looks better with a tan, right?!

How to Get Started as a Freelance Makeup Artist
If you’ve always had a passion for makeup artistry but never knew what to do with it, you’re just like me. I never thought I could actually make it into a career. I knew I wanted to pursue it full time, but I also didn’t want to work in a salon or in entertainment or fashion just yet. Then, I discovered I could freelance. I love working with different people and love to do makeup. It just seemed to fit. However, getting started as a freelance makeup artist is NOT that easy starting out. You have to be okay with being broke even though you’re working your ass off. And you better be willing to actually work your ass off. If you’re looking to break into the freelance world or have been doing it for a while and just want some tips, then keep on reading!

- Maybelline – Matte + Poreless Foundation
This foundation is medium – full coverage depending on how much you really want it to cover! This is always my go-to foundation. It stays matte ALL day without having to blot my face or worry about oxidizing. A secret to foundation is; If you need more coverage on your face, do NOT just glob on the foundation and try to blend it in. Do it in layers. Wait until the first layer dries, then add another layer if it is not enough coverage for you. Start off by moving your foundation brush in circular motions on your face to blend in product. Push in the foundation you just laid down by gently dabbing with a moist Beauty Blender. It gives you that airbrush finish!
I haven’t done a winged liner blog look in a hot minute! So, I thought now is the perfect time!
If you follow me on Instagram you will see that I obviously post all my looks with product breakdowns. But, posting these looks on my blog gives me a chance to share my thoughts on some of the products I used!
